Delivery-Date-Based Payment Release Policy

Overview

Payments to sellers are released based on the confirmed delivery date of each order. Because the platform manages all shipping, tracking, and delivery confirmation, sellers do not need to take any shipping-related actions. Funds from each sale are held until the order is delivered, plus a 14-day reserve period.

Why are funds reserved?

Delivery-date reserves ensure that sufficient funds remain available to cover potential refunds, disputes, or chargebacks. This system protects both buyers and sellers and supports the overall reliability of the marketplace.

How long are funds held?

Funds are held until the delivery date plus a 14-day reserve period (DD + 14).

Example:
If an item is delivered on January 6, then under the DD + 14 policy, the related funds become eligible for payout starting January 20.

Reserve periods may be extended based on compliance, performance, or dispute history.

What portion of funds are held?

The full payment amount for each order remains reserved until its individual DD + 14 reserve period ends.

Since sellers do not have access to order dashboards or transaction views, the platform sends automated payment updates, which include:

-funds newly released
-funds still in reserve
-anticipated future release dates
-payout confirmations

How are delivery dates determined?

Because the platform manages shipping:

-Delivery dates are determined using carrier-verified delivery scans when available.
-If a delivery scan is missing or delayed, the platform uses the latest estimated delivery date (EDD) recorded internally.

All tracking and delivery verification is handled by the platform.

What happens when reserves are applied?

If a seller is new or has recently been placed under a DD + 14 reserve policy, it is normal for most or all funds to initially appear held. As deliveries occur, funds enter their 14-day countdown. After the reserve period ends, those funds are automatically prepared for the next scheduled payout.

Sellers receive notifications whenever:

-a payment is released
-a payment is scheduled for future release
-a payout is sent to their bank account

How can sellers receive payments sooner?

Since the platform controls all shipping operations, sellers cannot directly influence delivery timing. However, the platform can help expedite payout release by:

-dispatching orders promptly
-using reliable carriers with accurate tracking
-ensuring delivery confirmations are processed quickly

Faster delivery → earlier reserve period start → earlier payment release.
